With the Art Gallery of Western Australia
A world first in fashion and art collaboration is taking place in Perth at the Art Gallery of Western Australia with a 3-day event starting on Friday 19 April at 6.30pm. The Look, look.knit collaboration is between contemporary artist Anna Park, designer WAH-WAH Australia and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
It is part of the Look, look. Anna Park exhibition, an Australian first, that will debut more than 15 never-before-seen charcoal and ink works on paper that feverishly captures the spirit of contemporary life, created specifically for AGWA. WAH-WAH will be incorporating Park’s signature drawings over their exciting knitwear for a limited edition capsule collection.
“Drawing inspiration from popular culture…Park’s works address the cultural construction of identity, sexuality and power…as she intentionally remixes elements from various art movements and styles, including…Andy Warhol …to comic artists…”
