ISO Style

It is safe to say that 2020 is the year of #isostyle!

There is no doubt that whilst being stuck at home, your outfits have consisted of: pyjamas till noon, sweats till 5pm (2 pieces on rotation), then pyjamas again! So how are we ever going to step out of the house in anything but our comfy attire?

The good news is that Sport Luxe is huge for 2020, so you have the stylists’ tick of approval to take ‘chic comfort’ to the streets! In saying that, the bad news is that your overworn/ stained cozies, will need a refresh, and a ‘style up’ before facing the real world!

But stress no more! Here is everything you need to know about nailing WFH/ ISO style.

Back to basics, quality over quantity: When it comes to basics, quality is key. Invest in a good quality tee, tank or hoodie. You can grab these for a fair price. You will look neat, clean and chic. Same goes for active wear. You will feel a difference, trust me! Leave any stained or worn out clothes off the streets!

Mastering WFH/running around style: So, as much as the WFH routine may have been quite nice, it wasn’t all fun and games if you had to attend a zoom meeting in your pyjamas! When it comes to WFH fashion, its all about mixing and matching basics & wardrobe staples, using what you most likely have in your wardrobe!

Try mixing and matching your causal and office wear to achieve that effortlessly chic style. These combinations will cover everything, from the zoom meetings to school pick ups and unexpected run ins.

Throw on a pair of chic mom jeans, a branded tee and a blazer to achieve a more sophisticated look. Or, you can’t go wrong with a white shirt, tailored black pants and a chic sneaker, for running around.

Rocking your active wear? (I’m all about it), however try styling it up with a chic puffer jacket or coat with some stylish sneakers.

Accessorise to lift your look! Throw on a pair of hoops, oversized scrunchie, or statement handbag to complete the look.

Don’t be afraid of colour! It can really make your outfit pop! Even if it’s a slight addition.

Cleanliness is key: The only way to nail these casual looks is to keep your clothes clean, crisp! That’s the secret to looking chic!

Brands that are great for nailing SportLuxe are: PE Nation, Toast Society, Camilla & Marc, Lululemon and Bayse Brand.

Now that you’ve got your mind ticking, do that wardrobe clean out, and start mixing and matching! All it takes is a selection of quality basics, that you can mix and match! Happy styling!
