Stylist at the Rocks

Sydney based stylist Fatima L Clinton, aka Stylistattherocks, tells us about her path into the industry and the advice she’d give to all the aspiring stylists out there.

How would you describe what you do?

Helping women to become the best version of themselves through styling

How did you make your start in styling?

I started by studying with the Australian Style Institute in Melbourne and Lauren Di Bartolo the founder of ASI and her incredible team has helped me with my knowledge, skills and confidence to be where I am today. It has been the most amazing decision I have made in my life!

Highlight of your styling career so far?

To have the opportunity to meet with amazing people, collaborating with great creatives -that includes photographers, hair stylists, make-up artists, agencies, models,  and together see our vision become reality!

Can you describe your style in three words?

Impossible! My style is evolving, “Style is personal, style is innate, style is a way of life”.

Your advice for any aspiring stylists?

Start doing and get out of your comfort zone. There is no right or wrong in styling.  Push your boundaries and hustle!

Best piece of style advice?

Style has no rules. Create your own style and be confident in what you are wearing.

What’s next for you?

I am grateful for where I am today.  What’s next is to stay positive, to keep doing what I am doing and always do my best every day.  One day at a time!
