Wide Leg Black Silk Pants Styled 3 Ways
In our latest style challenge we surprised Scarlett Vargas, the fashionista behind Stylish Journal with a package of glossy, black silk pants by Australian label Don’t Do Pretty. Scarlett’s brief was to let us know how she’d style the same wide leg silk pants into 3 different looks. Casual, cocktail and work wear. Turns out it wasn’t hard at all and the ever on-trend Scarlett managed all 3 looks with her usual eye catching style.
“It is always nice to get your garments in pretty packaging and I personally loved Don’t do Pretty’s stylish black box, which makes it perfect for gifting. And I absolutely love my pants!
I had recently spotted Don’t Do Pretty via Instagram and thought it has an edgy yet wearable and stylish aesthetic, pretty much what I like!
Black pants are a must and I was missing a good pair to maximize my wardrobe options. But this new addition works both as corporate and going out staple. What I like the most? It would be definitely their fit and silhouette. They fit and feel great, unlike other satin pants which can be hard to wear. These are flattering and comfortable. As I said before, one must own a good pair of black pants, and for the way these fit, look and feel, the investment is totally worth it.”

With pops of red on trend ATM, Scarlett topped her silk glossies with Attik tops and red satin pumps to achieve cocktail vibes.
Looking good for work, Scarlett styled the pants with a jacket and blouse by Zara, showing how versatile they are.
Since she seemed to manage this style challenge so easily, no doubt there are a few more looks this stylish Instagrammer could have pulled off, given half the chance.
