Nhommot Kuch
Myer Centre/Realm Adelaide Style Challenge
When Cocktail Revolution was invited to participate in a Style Challenge in Adelaide with a number of fashion influencers, we put a shout out to our followers on Facebook, to see if anyone would like to take up the opportunity on our behalf.
We invited Nhommot Kuch to take up the challenge from the Myer Centre and Realm Adelaide. Myer Centre Stylist Filip Ozdak said “with more than 80 retailers, some amazing new events and Jennifer Hawkins coming to town, spring is in full swing”. All items for outfits were provided by retailers from The Myer Centre.
Nhommot took her place along side some of Adelaide’s best known influencers, with sister Anoon by her side for moral support.
The challenge was to style three looks each with three items selected from a collection provided by Myer Centre retailers. Then, to be photographed in each of the three outfits in the Realm Adelaide promotional apartment space, all within 45 minutes.
Nhommot’s style choices were: “Smashing Prints”, “80’s Revived” and “Spring Romance”. These were selected from a total list of five possible choices that also included “Spring Racing” and “Statement Making Slogans”.
When you’re competing with a dozen other fashionistas for a selection of clothing and accessories, it’s easier said than done!
“I selected my style themes because I was more comfortable with these, but finding something that matched each item was quite difficult because most of the items had already been selected (by other participants). Overall, though, it made it more exciting because I love a challenge and I was still able to pull all three looks together.
It was heaps of fun. I was really nervous beforehand, but I really enjoyed it all, including meeting everyone,” said Nhommot.
1. Smashing Prints
“Styled with a print crop top and layered red skirt with some sunnies, I was able to create a look that was more easy and didn’t contain much confusion. When mixing and matching prints it’s very important to pay attention so that they don’t clash. That’s why I kept the print to a minimum for this look.”

2. 80’s Revived
“This would have to be my favourite outfit! The look represents what my style is all about. I adore vintage pieces and being able to mix and match them with modern pieces gave it that edge to stand out.
This outfit was a mixture of old vintage pieces with a contemporary aesthetic. Styled with a red leather skirt, ribbed crop top and denim jacket, I was able to make a strong distinctive fashion statement. The outfit shares both the 80’s influence and modern day look which makes it more urban but also eye catching.”

3. Spring Romance
“Once I’d decided to focus on Spring Romance, I knew Mossman would make the perfect statement red dress to match the theme. Styled with nude Christian Louboutins, matching nude corset belt and silver necklace, I was able to achieve a look that was unique, vibrant and contemporary all at the same time.”
