Adelaide Fashion Week 2022
That’s right fashion lovers. A new fashion festival running from 6 – 9 October in the heart of Adelaide will feature South Australia’s biggest, brightest and exciting new labels.
Having attracted some of the biggest national and international fashion brands, Rundle Street, from the Mall to Rundle Street East, will be ground zero for the festival. With UNIGLO opening in the Mall later this year and Rundle Street East becoming home to Australian designer favourites Carla Zampatti, VIKTORIA & WOODS and Assembly Label amongst others, it’s no wonder.
From home-grown designers to some of the world’s most iconic brands, shoppers can discover the latest looks at AFW events then take their favourite products home, taking advantage of some of the best offers and discounts from stores in Rundle Mall, Rundle Street and across the city as part of the year’s biggest shopping event.
Events are also flagged for Fishbank, Fashion Est. in North Adelaide and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
South Australian designers and a live unmissable showcase will feature at a ticketed lunch at Fishbank.
Iconic South Australian brand R.M.Williams, celebrating its 90th anniversary will host an intimate dinner at Sôl Rooftop SkyCity featuring R.M.Williams Head of Product Development and TAFE SA fashion graduate Scott Faulder.
“It’s great to see fashion being celebrated in the city once again. I’m thrilled to be involved in the inaugural Adelaide Fashion Week.”-Scott Faulder, Head of Product Development, RM Williams
“It’s great to see fashion being celebrated in the city once again. I’m thrilled to be involved in the inaugural Adelaide Fashion Week,” shares Faulder. “R.M.Williams is a homegrown, internationally recognised brand, and I look forward to sharing industry insights over an intimate dinner at Sôl Rooftop.”
Fashion Est. in North Adelaide will hold “Slow Lounge Saturday”, a series of immersive workshops with local designers. This will be followed by The Art of Fashion, a South Australian designer showcase at the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Other program events include Rundle Street Up Late on Friday and a collaboration with this year’s Adelaide Film Festival as they present the South Australian premiere of Fashion Reimagined at Palace Nova Cinemas on Sunday. Following the screening will be a Q&A panel featuring Melanie Flintoft of Sunset Lover and Sophia McMahon of autark.
Tickets go on sale from 9am Monday 5 September, with more events to be announced shortly. Head to the Adelaide Economic Development Agency website to see the programme as it’s been unveiled so far!
