Get Ready Adelaide: ADL Fashion Week Tickets Are Out!
Adelaide is getting ready to dress up, with five days of fashion, food, shopping, parties and plenty of fabulous reasons to leave the couch. From 7–11 October, ADL Fashion Week will take over the city and North Adelaide with more than 30 events and this year’s program looks like one big excuse to have fun with fashion. The exciting news is that ADL Fashion Week tickets are now available.
The runway action kicks off at Adelaide Town Hall on Thursday 8 October, with The South Australian Showcase featuring local labels including VAN BRUSSEL, Significant Other, Iris & Wool, Yaneth, Serafina and Frock Me Out.
Then things get even more interesting. At 9pm, BY JOHNNY celebrates 15 years with a brand-new collection and exclusive pieces, marking its first runway in 10 years.
Friday night is all about glamour with THE COUTURE BALL, bringing couture and bridalwear to Adelaide Town Hall with designers including Alexis George, couture+love+madness and Priv’elle presenting Steven Khalil. Basically, this is your excuse to go all-out.
Saturday starts with understated cool as VIKTORIA & WOODS joins forces with Christian Kimber, before THE WOLF GANG celebrates 10 years with a bold, playful anniversary runway.
But the fun doesn’t stop when the models leave the catwalk. Rundle Mall is getting in on the action with a three-day shopping weekend, while The Archive: Live brings fashion podcasters Rozalia Russian and Lana Wilkinson to town for a live recording.
For a night out, head to North Adelaide for the Pip Edwards x Yakisan Nightcha Party, complete with DJ, cocktails and snacks.
There’s also plenty for anyone wanting to actually do fashion. Try a styling session, create your own silver ring, revamp some denim or join the award-winning Exploring Slow Fashion walking tour. And because fashion and food belong together, there’s The FAB Extravaganza at Adelaide Central Market, Korean food and beauty at Colours of Korea, plus fashion masterclasses and wardrobe sessions.
Brides-to-be haven’t been forgotten either, with events exploring everything from the history of bridal fashion to the psychology of dressing for the big day.
And after five days of fashion, shopping, food and fun, it all wraps up with the SA Style Wrap Party at Hotel Alba.
