Slide into Style with NYOF

Two different women, living in two different states, each with busy lives, were tasked with styling an outfit to go with a new pair of slides from Aussie label NYOF. We knew they’d each come up with something very different, and they did, proving casual footwear trends are so very versatile and so very hot right now.

Instead of having to buy multiple slides each time you want a different look, NYOF, which stands for Not Your Ordinary Flops, has a range of stylish cover straps that can be used interchangeably. Proving that you can wear this Aussie-designed casual footwear absolutely any way you like and still look stylish, here’s what these two stylish women put together.

Katya – Adelaide

Model and award-winning designer Katya, of bag brand Katya Komarova had a lot of fun putting together her outfit to pair with her NYOF Punk Rose patches, photographing herself in her city studio.

“There’s a dressy feel to the slides. That’s why I decided to go with a full winter uniform mixing them with a knit dress and long socks. A touch of colour gave me some space to coordinate the slides with a red belt (I wore the bag strap from one of our bags). I also see these slides easily worn with light blue jeans and a white shirt. They do bring a lot of attention to them, so the rest of the look can be very casual. With the trend in mixing sneakers with dressy looks, I personally think slides can have their moment too.”

Alexia – Melbourne

When she’s not developing new creative content for her clients on social media, Alexia Tsapepas is busy running Royal Ego, a premium quality eyelash brand. Already an owner of multiple pairs of slides, Alexia was keen to style Go with the Bow denim patches with an easy street style look.

A regular pilates and kickboxing junkie, it felt natural for Alexia to pair them with a Nike crop-top, denim overshirt and dark denim jeans. Normally favouring fitted day or evening wear, Alexia enjoyed putting a street style look together to go with casual footwear trends. “I was surprised how easy it was to put an outfit together in a lay-back aesthetic, that still looked effortlessly chic. The bows looked great and I’m really looking forward to seeing what new patches they’re going to come out with.

I also have to say something about the packaging. It was beautiful, obviously expensive and great to unbox!”
