Resort Wear Australia
One of the highlights of AAFW this year was the return of ACLER to the runway after five years. The inspired 24 resort wear collection by design partners Kathryn Forth and Julia Ritorto drew on elements of the brand for which ACLER has become known.
Trademark hand draping and classic silhouettes were reimagined into jaw dropping pieces fittingly presented under the sleek architecture and elegant sophistication of its venue, The Everleigh. Along with thoughtful, structured designs and a luminous palette that included metallic and mixed metal, the collection was also characterised by volume.
“…it was important for us to take the time to reflect on Acler’s DNA, and delve deeply into the cherished designs and details that are synonymous with our label. Pleating and metallics are taken to new heights, and we embrace even more drama through exploring various couture-inspired techniques. You will see a few nods to our past runway collections, an homage to our heritage, whilst we really hero what’s next for Acler”, said Kathryn and Julia.
“QUALITY, COMFORT AND VERSATILITY ARE TOP-OF-MIND – WE WANT TO CREATE ENDURING,COLLECTABLE PIECES THAT CAN BE TREASURED TODAY AND TOMORROW.”

The collection also signalled Acler’s entry into Bridal wear. Borrowing some of Acler’s most original, modern and exciting silhouettes, Bridal wear just became incredibly exciting. The creative duo have hit the reset button for the entire Bridal industry.
Extending its offering, ACLER also launched a collection of its own brand jewellery, beautifully and carefully paired to offset individual garments in the collection.
For consumers, Acler’s 2024 resort collection offers a broad selection. From tailored but relaxed suiting with androgynous looks, to voluminous fabric overlays and fluid silhouettes, all pieces embrace elements of Acler’s signature style.
