Welcoming In the Year of the Pig

From Day to Evening

Since we’re known for going to town with Australian design, we decided to invite Australian designers to a fashion blog shoot in the heart of China Town. On the final day of the Lunar New Year celebrations, we’re ushering in the Year of the Pig.  We’re talking red packets, lucky money and a fashion shoot at the heartland of Chinese celebrations in every Australian capital city!

Meet our line-up of Australian designers. Dog & Boy, Lime Crush, Megan Salmon and Georgy Collection. With outfits and styling taking you from day to evening, the Lunar New Year has never looked so stylish. From a silky wrap top and pants with pin stripe, to an evocatively patterned 100% pure merino wool scarf, to a silk organza top and tutu style skirt with a romantic little coat. Not to forget a bold red-with-gold-buttons one shouldered cocktail dress. Australian fashion designers are leaving you spoiled for choice. We’re talking quality, sustainability, luxury and affordability. Check out more of the outfits in our on-line shop, or via the designers directly.

Welcome to the lunar new Year of the Pig and all that goes with it! The pig represents luck, good fortune, wealth and prosperity,  Those born under the sign of the pig are thought to be happy, honest, sincere, easy going and brave.
