They came in their hundreds for the opening night of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2016. Dressed to impress in their very best, they mingled, sipped, laughed and above all snapped. Fashionistas of every description, from popular bloggers and Instagrammers, to the Real Housewives of Melbourne, to stalwarts of the fashion industry and those who simply love fashion descended upon Fashion Plaza last night.
Set between Melbourne’s iconic Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum, the Plaza was awash with glamour and excitement for the opening runway event showcasing the largest designer line-up of the Fashion Festival. Featuring leading Australian and International Designers and led by American supermodel Lee Wasson, the opening parade in front of 1500 guests also included Jessinta Campbell, Montana Cox and Samantha Harris.
The crew from Cocktail Revolution was there early to see the very first arrivals and the crowd build. This was a crowd that loves fashion and that loves to be seen. Friendly, buzzing and open to helping out strangers by taking snaps for each other on their phones, the crowd exuded style and fashion. We’re exited to bring you our snaps of the vibe from “fashion central” by our photographer, from the earliest of the night to the last…..
