Trending Street Style This Week

This Week’s  Trending Street Style

With the final days of Australian winter upon us, we’re gathering warm weather outfit inspiration from street style stars abroad. And with extra intensity! The street style trends we cant help but notice are  bound to become your spring style staples. With international street stylers setting the trends we’re likely to be seeing in the next few weeks, we can hardly wait for Spring…

What goes around comes around, and the slingback kitten heel trend is no exception. So if you’ve been dying to put aside the winter boots and step into something sweeter, this super-feminine shoe might be your footwear of choice this spring.

Cut Frames

While the micro-sunglass trend is still going strong, sunglasses with cutaway frames are steadily on the rise. Specifically, white half-frames especially seem to be the favourite choice for street style stars.

Monogram Mania

Logomania and monogrammed-everything are strongly associated with the excess of the 80’s and branding craze of the 90s. But since being revived a few seasons ago, it’s clear this trend still has serious staying power today. Get ready to dust off your branded pieces, or be primed to add to your collection!

The Classic

The effortlessly cool combination of blue jeans and a white t-shirt will likely never fade from fashion consciousness. With the weather warming up down under, this classic pairing is the perfect way to ease into a new season.

Spotted on models, influencers and show goers during Copenhagen Fashion Week, this divisive trend is back on the rise. Thongs – yes, thongs – are the footwear of choice for lovers of the low maintenance look. Will you be dusting off your Havaianas this spring?

Street Stylers to Check Out

Medhi Tessier of @the.parisien is one to follow for sneaker lovers and fans of architectural photography alike. This fashion obsessed frenchman can effortlessly jump from modernity and classic tailoring to retro inspired getups.

We first spotted Lilla Lowana on the streets of Sydney rocking a simple vintage tee and blue jeans. For authenticity and attitude, Lila is definitely one to check out.

If you’ve spotted some street style trends that you think we’ve missed, we’d love you to let us know!  We’re watching Aussie streets and the rest, but we’d always like to hear if you’ve spotted something we haven’t.

That’s all for this week. More street style trends and  goodness next week!
