The girls at Tigerlily always look amazing. So, with Coachella behind us and Splendour in the Grass just around the corner, we asked the girls at Tigerlily in Rundle St East about their personal style and tips for festival wear. Meet the Tigerlily girls: Olivia Sommariva, Kristen Cowell and Kirsty Fraser.

How would you describe Tigerlily style?

Tigerlily apparel encompasses the character of the beach, which fuses beautiful fabrics and prints. The versatility of the garments allows each wearer to find and create their own style.

And your own personal style?

My everyday style is usually nonchalance, where I like to balance between a feminine and edgy look. In the trans-seasonal months, I reach for a silk blouse with boyfriends jeans, paired with an undone leather jacket – achieving an unkempt elegance.

Your tip for festival styling?

To achieve an eclectic style, mix and layer different textures to give your outfit some depth.

What’s the festival fashion trend you notice the most?

At the moment accessories like 90’s undersized glasses, hats and belt bags are very popular in the festival scene. They are a great and simple way to transform your outfit.

Dream festival to attend?

Coachella!

How would you describe Tigerlily style?

The Tigerlily style to me is a very unique and striking bohemian style of bold prints and patterns. At the same time it’s also about simplicity that represent the beach lifestyle, inspired by travel, women and happiness.

And your own personal style?

I would say my style is modern bohemian. I love a statement piece with a memorable print or something quite simple and elegant. I also believe that less is more. I try to have an effortless look by only having one piece of clothing on at a time as the hero piece.

Your tip for festival styling?

When it comes to festivals I completely break any of my usual style rules. I believe the more accessories and prints the better. I try and stick to something flowy as it allows you to move around more.  And PRINTS! I love a good print and you can never go overboard when it comes to a festival. The more the merrier.  However I do try to have a colour scheme or theme throughout my outfit. The most important part to remember is comfort. As most festivals go all day and night, you have to remember a jacket and comfy dancing shoes.

What’s the festival fashion trend you notice the most?

Definitely the vintage/bohemian trend. I often ask girls where they get their outfits from as its a great way to discover new ideas, even if its vintage which is better for them not so good for me. And its a nice way to give a compliment.

Dream festival to attend?

That one’s easy, Coachella for sure. Who wouldn’t want to see Beyonce? This year would have been a dream come true.

How would you describe Tigerlily style?

Tigerlily style to me is all about echoing that relaxed lifestyle by the beach. Rich in beautiful prints, amazing textures and fabrics that can be worn so effortlessly every single day.

And your own personal style?

I would say my personal style is very relaxed and effortless. I try and keep my style true to myself and find I don’t follow too many trends these days. I live in anything denim and high waisted and love to pair with a white tee or a blouse or top of some kind with a print or colour through it.

Your tip for festival styling?

Keep it simple – sometimes more is less. I don’t think you can go wrong with a good vintage pair of denim shorts and a fun bodysuit, comfy footwear like a boot and accessorize with textures and fringing. Oh, and a pair of sunnies you won’t mind losing!

Dream festival to attend?

My dream festival would have to be Coachella but I would also love to head to the UK for Glastonbury or Bluesfest in Byron Bay.

See you all at Splendour in the Grass!
