This Week’s Street Style Trends

From our local streets to the bustling ones in Berlin (and even cyberspace!) we’re always looking out for the latest in rising trends and authentic self-expression through style. Read on for this week in trends and trendsetters.

International street style moment…

Lisa Hahnbück snapped on the streets of Berlin in this no-rules-apply getup takes the cake for our international street style moment of the week. Love the luxe heels and baby pink slip paired with a good ol’ hoodie. Throw in the pastel cardigan layer, statement coat and multi-coloured circle bag and you’ve got a strong case for breaking the rules.

Special nod to this gorgeous trio spotted in Copenhagen. Our bets are on lavender as one of the key colours of the season.

Trending accessory…

We’ve got to say, if an ‘it’ bag won’t set you back thousands, we’re definitely going to push for it to be a lasting trend. If you’re as tired as we are of the inescapable presence of Gucci bags on the arms of street style stars, the continued rise of the ‘fisherman bag’ will come as a breath of fresh air. For less than $10, you can grab yourself the bag of the moment. Not bad, huh?

We’re not sure how much staying power this trend has, but we’re all about embracing this super laid back accessory.

Local trends…

When the festival season rolls around in Australia, the locals really step out in style. We’ve been spotting a huge amount of 70s inspired fashion – from small details like embroidery and flares to full-blown vintage getups, the decade’s influence is clearly stronger than ever.

Casual, neat and perfect for the evening temperature drop, it’s no surprise that the bomber jacket hasn’t faded from sartorial consciousness even in the summertime. Street stylers are changing things up a little by favouring bright hues and bold prints on their outerwear instead of a classic monochromatic affair.

International Street Styler we love… @fridacashflow

Model, curator and founder of an art collective dedicated to providing a platform for creatives of colour, Gabrielle Richardson is one to watch. Her feed is equal parts style, art and bomb selfies. How’s about her Insta handle?
