Organisers of the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival 2016 haven’t named the main venue “Fashion Paramount” for nothing. Set in a huge marquee on the terraces at the rear of the Perth Concert Hall, the fashion loving glam set were inspired to DREAM BIG from giant digital screens before being treated to a runway featuring five of Australia’s leading designers: Dion Lee, Bianca Spender, Romance was Born, Flannel and Zhivago. Models and their reflections shimmered on a mirrored runway for a sold-out opening night show to an appreciative audience.
Chloe Hurst, star of recent hit movies The Nice Guys, Hometown Hero and Hollywood Miles flew back to her home town from LA for the opening. Friendly, glamorous and enjoying the company of best friend Claire, Chloe happily obliged for photos and chats in her plunging-to-the-waist black sequinned long sleeve gown with black, white and gold waist and shoulder trim and matching choker. #Gorgeous
Guests were indulged with an abundance of champagne and delicious canapes in the VIP lounge that surrounded a large central circular bar. There was a huge buzz. Clearly, everyone had enjoyed the runway and were now enjoying the afters. #Vibe
As you all know, we have as much fun checking out the scene and the glamour off the runway as much as we do on it. It really was so much fun. For starters, here’s a bit of what we saw… #Telstra Perth Fashion Festival opening night
