Some of the most stylish and best dressed people you’ll ever meet work in retail. Specifically – fashion retail. We asked the boys from Jack London‘s Adelaide store at 267 Rundle Street East to tell us about their styling secrets, favourite trends and rules to live by. Here’s what they had to say.
Jimmy

How would you describe Jack London style?
That sweet spot between rock and roll attitude and classic tailoring. It’s the combination of sharp fit and statement pieces.

Considered but nonchalant.

Keep It Simple, Stupid!

How would you describe Jack London style?
Timeless, it’s an inspiration of 1960’s British and European Mod Rock clothing that is still crucial in present-day fashion.
And your own personal style?
Relaxed, but I still stay up late to prepare an outfit the night before.
Any style rules you live by?
Styling your hair. Hairstyles compliment any look. Don’t neglect your hair!
What mistakes do you think men make when it comes to fashion?
Fitting. That’s a big issue! Wrong sizes ruin everything. There’s also the preconceived notion of masculinity and what men think they’re supposed to wear rather than wearing what they want. Finally, stop wearing thongs with jeans. Please stop!
What are some key trends to look forward to, or current trends you love?
I tend to wear whatever I like but I’m loving rayon shirts at the moment! Especially the Hawaiian styled ones. Such vibrant colours and patterns!
Style advice to live by?
I follow the immortal lyrics from the 2006 film, ‘The Cheetah Girls 2’: “Strut like you mean it”. Attitude is everything.
