Sustainable Fashion Label Arnsdorf Goes Circular

Melbourne Fashion Label in an Australian First

Slow and sustainable Melbourne fashion label Arsndorf is now also turning into a circular fashion brand.   The label is the first retailer in Australia to launch a clothing exchange using a new technology, SwapChain. Coinciding with the Melbourne Fashion Festival, you’ll be able to swap any Arnsdorf piece you have sitting at home that you’re not wearing, for recycling, by swapping them for something that you WILL wear!

SwapChain uses amazing technology that tracks and traces your garment’s supply chain and life. It also gives you data on how your clothing affects the planet with estimated water usage saved and carbon metrics.

Arnsdorf founder and designer Jade Sarita Arnott said: “We are really excited to be taking this next step in our circularity journey. We have wonderful loyal and dedicated customers and it is exciting to offer them this opportunity to give their Arnsdorf garments a new life in exchange for a different piece. We are honoured to be partnering with SwapChain to be the first to bring this technology and process to Australia.”

How it Works

1. Drop in at Arnsdorf’s retail outlet at 229 Brunswick St Fitzroy between 25 February – 7 March with your clean and undamaged garments.

2.  Arnsdorf will assess your pieces and issue you SwapChain tokens depending on the original value of your garments:

up to $149 = 1 Token
$150 to $499 = 2 Tokens
$500 to $1000 = 3 Tokens

3. Redeem your tokens between 12 – 20 March to swap for a garment from Arnsdorf’s SwapChain section.

This is one fashion label that is renowned for their ethical, transparent and sustainable practices to protect our planet.  Follow Arnsdorf on Instagram, and, to discover more sustainable Australian fashion labels, you’ll want to see 9 Sustainable Fashion Brands You Need to Know.
