Things were getting pretty serious out on the streets this week with dapper suits and vogue style specs hitting the scene. But there was still plenty of individual flair. Internationally the look was eccentric and red hot. Here are the latest trends we’re seeing this week on the street….
Now the cooler weather has arrived the turtleneck’s come out of hibernation again. Despite its less than cool reputation, it’s currently looking mighty fly when layered with a smart jacket or funky flannelette sweater.
We’ve seen them skinny, we’ve seen them wide, now we’re seeing pants billowing out beneath the knee. From slits and sequins Saturday Night Fever style to shorter ripped and swing-skirt hems, the flare is back 2017 style.
We spotted the first trenches a couple of weeks back and the trend continues this week with guys digging the longer mid-calf length worn loose in neutral beiges and whites. Autumn weather appropriate it works come rain or shine – go, go gadget fashion.
Gents are loving the dapper guy look at the mo complete with slick-fitting suits, ties and coloured hankie lapels. And what’s the two-piece pattern of choice? Wide checks, mate, worn in dark navies and in-season greys.
This trend seems to pop up around the time the season changes and we’re seeing it again this week. Nothing sets off an outfit like a bit of well-styled facial furniture. And while sunnies are still big right now, smart specs are the accessory to be seen in. From the sexy secretary to the hot office boy, the look is oh so vogue.
Last week our international friends were looking pretty in pink, now they’re rocking the red. A massive catwalk colour this season, we’re seeing all the shades from deep plum to bright lipstick – from jackets to bags to stilettos.
Looks like the coat is still the statement piece overseas, and nothing is too much. From bright rainbow pieces cast in mohair to oversized suit jackets with faux flowers bursting from the fabric – move over Met Gala.
Loads more to share – we’ll be back next week with the VERY latest!
