Wearable Technology, Eco Design Plus
Always a highlight of the 19-year Telstra Perth Fashion Festival, its Future Runway, where student designers showcase their year’s work, didn’t disappoint this year. This is the runway where everyone gets to see designs free from the usual commercial constraints about whether a garment will sell or not. With a new section Wearable Technology, the showcase included a jacket with built in GPS and a dress with a 3D print of the Perth skyline. A total prize pool of $16,000 was shared by the winners of 6 categories.
