Future Runway Features Best Student Designers – PFF

52 Emerging Fashion Designers

The most coveted runways at any fashion festival are the student runways where raw unbridled fashion creatives get to unleash their designs for the first time on the public. That was also true of the closing night of the 2019 Perth Fashion Festival where the soon-to-be emerging fashion designers took to the stage for PFF’s Future Runway. It was a showcase of the most promising student designers from Western Australia’s leading fashion schools.

Always a favourite runway, the event was sold out weeks before. And with designs from no less than 52 of the state’s top creatives on show, it’s no wonder. Encouraged to think outside the square and experiment with new ways of manipulating fabric, students vied in 7 design categories.

Here’s a snapshot of the student runway of emerging fashion designers along with the award categories and winners. Images are by Stefan Gosatti.
