Fashion Revolution Week Event at RMIT
A free seminar will be held by Ethical Clothing Australia together with a team of sustainability experts from RMIT on 29 April 2019 at RMIT’s Swanston Street Campus. The seminar will be held during Fashion Revolution
Week 2019, a week that marks the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh which killed 1138 garment workders and injured many more in 2013.
Along with a panel discussion, the event will cover what goes on behind the scenes in the manufacturing process and how much progress has been made in the production of ethical fashion globally since the Rana Plaza collapse.
The panel will feature Ethical Clothing Australia’s National Manager, Angela Bell and senior research fellows from RMIT’s Graduate School of Business and Law.
The discussion will also provide insight into the practices of Australian manufacturers who are ECA accredited. This is a FREE EVENT with popcorn and refreshments provided. However you do need to confirm your attendance. You can register here.
The event will be held:
Kaleide Theatre (Building 8. Level 2. Room 4)
368 – 374 Swanston Street
5:45pm – 7:30pm
Monday, 29 April 2019
