Cocktail Revolution Ranks #3 in the World of Street Fashion Blogs

Australian Diversity
a Fashion Blog Winner

It’s official. Cocktail Revolution, Australia’s only national street style fashion blog currently ranks at #3 in the list of Top 40 Street Fashion Blogs in the world.  The ranking is determined by algorithms and a panel review of content. Clearly, a street fashion blog that focusses on diversity is proving to be popular.

California based marketing group Feedspot ranks New York based The Sartorialist in first place, followed by Belgium’s Style Du Monde at number two. Despite the top two street fashion blogs having a head start of  up to 7 years, Cocktail Revolution is now followed by more than 50,000 Australians across all its platforms.

A showcase of Australian diversity, Cocktail Revolution started life 10 years ago as a photographic platform reflecting Australia’s ethnic diversity. Photographing stylish young people around the country as they were spotted in the street, the weekly street style gallery invited followers to vote for their favourite “look” or style. The monthly winner was then invited to model for an Australian fashion label featured in Cocktail Revolution and across social media. Sadly, due to Covid, the weekly street style gallery has been put on hold – there are only a limited number of  photos we can share of people in masks.

Focussing on the people attending Australia’s biggest fashion festivals around the country, Cocktail Revolution gradually included popular posts about new and emerging Australian fashion and accessories labels, models and fashion-related creatives.

Expanding from ethnic diversity, Cocktail Revolution now covers Australian fashion related news about size, ability and gender. All this with a firm eye on the planet and what our diverse Australian creatives are doing to reduce their talented carbon footprints for the benefit of us all.

Cocktail Revolution is all about “embracing diversity through fashion” and partners with some of Australia’s best known fashion labels to produce editorial features modelled and styled by diverse creatives. Editorials include Paolo Sebastian, Jonté (Perth), Anthea Crawford, Leonard Street, Princess Highway, MJ Bale and Peter Jackson (Melbourne). New York label Tome NYC, by Australian designers Michele Aboud Lobo and Ramon Martin has also been featured.

Countless Australian fashion and accessories labels have graced Cocktail Revolution’s digital pages. Long before the Black Lives Matter movement emerged as a force to be reckoned with, Cocktail Revolution was the first Australian magazine to regularly feature Aboriginal models, runways and fashion designers, as well as people of colour from a range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
