Unveiled this week, The 20th Telstra Perth Fashion Festival promises to be every bit the show stopper it has always been. And then some. The ten day festival will run from 5-15 September at a new venue, Optus Stadium. Fusing art, music and lifestyle it will also bring together a diverse mix of industry and community.
Top Australian designers showcasing will include Dion Lee, Romance Was Born, One Fell Swoop and Morrison. In our book, if you can only get to one fashion festival in a year, it should be this one. TPFF’s Closing Night is promising to toast the festival’s 20 year milestone through fashion and music and should not be missed!
Along with the high value Industry Forum high tea, there will also be a weekend of free events. One of the highlights is an Aboriginal Runway, Djurip Djenna Kooling. If it’s only half as good as last year’s offering this is a absolute must-see.
TPFF Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said: “More than 20 CBD retailers will now have the opportunity to showcase their products in 10 free runway events thanks to the continued support from the City of Perth. Not only will these free events attract thousands of visitors to the city, they provide rare opportunities for young designers and models trying to break into these industries.”
Quite simply, the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival offers something for everyone and this year we can fully expect the organisers to outdo themselves.
Tickets are on sale now from Ticket Master.
