Dinosaur Designs
Selling both homewares and jewellery, Dinosaur Designs is the increasingly popular label founded by Australian artists Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy. Their unique handmade designs appeal to lovers of abstract accessories. The label strives to minimise its environmental impact during production and supports sustainable initiatives.
Enesea
Sydney-based Nikki Ehrlich founded her jewellery label Enesea in 2019 after crafting designs for personal wear led to requests for custom pieces. Ehrlich’s handcrafted jewellery pieces are nothing short of unique, perfect for the individualist.
F+H Studios
Byron Bay-based F+H Studios is one of the cult brands in the world of Australian jewellery design – and for good reason. Founder Sharona Harris wanted to create designs for lovers of the ‘tough-luxe’ aesthetic, balancing masculine and feminine design elements. F+H Studios also partners with the SHIFT Project, supporting women who are transitioning out of homelessness.
Haus of Dizzy
Maximalists, rejoice! Indigenous Australian jewellery designer Kristy Dickinson creates impossible-to-miss pieces under her label Haus of Dizzy. Featuring slogans that represent environmental and social movements (think “Stop Adani” and “BLM”) to feminist mantras and trans pride flags, these bold acrylic accessories are strong statement pieces.
The Koorie Circle
Gunditjmara woman Laura Thompson is the designer behind the contemporary Aboriginal jewellery label The Koorie Circle based in Naarm, Melbourne. In addition to her work in jewellery design, Thompson is also a Co-Founder of the Indigenous fashion label Clothing The Gaps, which also celebrates Indigenous culture and identity through clothing and accessories.
Mesh Jewellery
Simone Muxlow, the creative genius behind Melbourne-based MESH Jewellery Design creates contemporary statement pieces out of repurposed materials and unwanted objects. Muxlow’s designs are created specifically for fashion shoots, runway shows, and music videos – where they have been worn by artists such as Zambian singer/songwriter Sampa the Great and Indigenous rapper Baker Boy. Eco-friendly, sustainable and incredibly stylish.
Momoko Hatano
Handcrafting her designs in her Sydney studio, Momoko Hatano is the Japanese-born jewellery designer behind her eponymous label. Combining elements of Japanese minimalist aesthetic with Australian culture, Hatano’s creations are a modern minimalist’s dream. Better yet, she uses recycled materials where possible and keeps sustainability at the forefront of her process.
Mountain & Moon
Perth designers Ashton and Audrey channelled their affinity for travel and style when creating their jewellery label Mountain & Moon. Their culturally inspired statement pieces make for instant outfit-elevators, so they’re great for taking a look from day to night! There’s power in the purchase too, with the brand also supporting the Saheli Women foundation in India, by donating a portion of their profits to projects helping women in the Bhikamkor village.
Valet Studio
Sister brand to major Australian jewellery label Reliquia, Valet Studio is your go-to for head-turning hair accessories and jewellery. The brand’s pieces are designed to be a mood-boosting addition to any outfit, brightening up not just your look, but also your day.
Alex Tempany
Alex Tempany’s jewellery is handcrafted slowly, to last forever. Made from pure recycled metals that are locally sourced, no two pieces are the same. Designed to be worn every day, Tempany’s jewellery is both timeless and sustainable. Perfect for modern minimalists.
Graedance
Graedance is a sustainable and genderless label that embraces the grey area. Futuristic jewellery for “the in-between”, creator Rong Jake’s design philosophy places a strong emphasis on versatility. Lakun Mara
Lakun Mara, founded by proud Ngarrindjeri, Narungga, and Ngadjuri woman Sonya Rankine in 2019, celebrates First Nations culture through the creation of traditionally woven pieces. Marrawuddi Gallery
Contemporary Aboriginal art gallery Marrawuddi Gallery, located in the Northern Territory, showcases a range of contemporary Indigenous jewellery created by artists from the surrounding communities. Marlene Bandwana, a Yolngu artist from Yirrkala, is one of many First Nations artists currently represented by the gallery. Pretty Mood Swings
Pretty Mood Swings is an independent brand/jewellery creative made by Elise Chenda and based on Kaurna land. Chenda’s pieces are known for their intricate bead and wire work and are made using recycled materials. Sacreflux
Melbourne-based jewellery designer Georgia Sacre’s label Sacreflux creates pieces inspired by themes of romance, love, and heartache. Sacre’s designs showcase dripping textures of silver and gold and are often adorned with heart-cut stones and pearls. Classy and contemporary.
Sabi the Label
Founded by Melbourne model and creative, Mon Barton, Sabi the Label was inspired by nostalgia and “the patina of age”. Their sterling silver pieces are gender-fluid, versatile, and designed with longevity in mind. The go-to brand for eco-conscious “it” girls.
Sarah Gardner Jewellery
